Farid Rahimi Naddaf told IRNA in an interview that the universities of Iran are scheduled to educate some 75,000 foreign students by the end of Iran's Sixth Development Plan, according to experts, the country needs to create appropriate educational infrastructure, develop diplomacy, and advertisement.
Foreign students studying in Iran can help the country to introduce its culture to the world and develop diplomacy, and it can also help expansion of the Iranian-Islamic culture; thus increasing the academic level of universities is required to increase student recruitment.
According to official statistics, a total of 57,000 international students are in Iran.
