High turnout in election to give encouragement to Iran Armed Forces
Iran's Army Commander Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi

Tehran, June 18, IRNA – Iran's Army Commander Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi said on Friday that high turnout in the June 18 presidential election will give encouragement to the Armed Forces to conduct their mission powerfully.

While casting vote in the 13th presidential election, Major General Mousavi said election and people's fate are interrelated.

Power of the Islamic Republic depends on participation in the election, said the commander, adding that taking part in the election will make the Islamic Republic more powerful.

The presidential election is being held across Iran simultaneously with the sixth round of municipal council elections for the cities and villages, the first mid-term for 11th round of parliamentary by-election, and the second mid-term for the fifth round of Assembly of Experts' election.

Also, polling stations are to operate during Iran's 13th presidential election in other 133 world countries.
