-- Austria’s flag carrier airline to restore Iran flight services

Austria’s flag carrier Austrian Airlines is planning to restore its flights to Iran nearly 18 months after the company decided to halt services to the country because of military tensions in the Middle East region.
Austrian Airlines will start servicing three flights per week between Vienna and Tehran beginning July 17.

-- Iran supplying clean water to 9m people in countryside: Minister

Iranian Energy Minister Reza Ardakanian said access to clean water in the countryside has increased nine times in eight years, to cover a total of nine million people throughout Iran.
Reza Ardakanian said on Thursday that an average of 30 villages were provided with clean water every week in the past eight years.

-- Iranian Vessels Now Sailing in Atlantic Ocean

An Iranian destroyer and support vessel are now sailing in the Atlantic Ocean in a rare mission far from the Islamic Republic, a senior military commander said on Thursday.
The trip by the new domestically built destroyer Sahand and the intelligence-gathering vessel Makran comes amid U.S. media ballyhoo, citing anonymous American officials, saying the ships were bound for Venezuela.
The vessels departed last month from Iran’s southern port of Bandar Abbas, said Adm. Habibollah Sayyari, Iran’s deputy army chief. He described their mission as the Iranian navy’s longest and most challenging voyage yet.

-- Report: Haniyeh to Visit Iran

Ismail Haniyeh, the chief of the political bureau of Palestinian Islamic resistance movement Hamas, is making arrangements to visit Iran and Lebanon, a Lebanese newspaper reported.
Lebanese newspaper Al Akhbar quoted informed sources as saying that Haniyeh is going to visit a number of Arab and regional countries after his trip to Cairo. The Hamas chief, who is now in Egypt, is making arrangements to visit Iran and Lebanon for meetings with their officials and with the leaders of Palestinian groups and Hezbollah, the report said.

-- Zionist Parties Clinch Deals to Oust Netanyahu

The new Zionist regime set to end Benjamin Netanyahu’s 12-year tenure as prime minister signed its final coalition agreements on Friday, pointedly including term limits.
Netanyahu, Israel’s longest-serving leader, will be succeeded on Sunday by a coalition that includes for the first time a party from Occupied Palestine’s Arab minority. Under a power-sharing agreement, Naftali Bennett, of the ultra-nationalist Yamina party, will serve as prime minister for two years. He will then hand over to Yair Lapid of the centrist Yesh Atid party.


-- Over 180 forest reserves identified in a year

Some 182 forest reserves with an area of 410,000 hectares were identified and registered across the country over the past [Iranian calendar] year (March 2020-March 2021), according to a recent report by the Forests, Rangelands, and Watershed Management Organization.

Forest reserves are small biosphere reserves in which unique, rare, or endangered species live. These areas also have trees and shrubs of high genetic value.

Accordingly, the most desirable way to preserve these species is to protect them in their natural habitats. Therefore, the management of forest reserves with the process of identification, delimitation, and preparation of conservation plans is among the important measures that should be on the agenda.

-- Iranian movies competing in Animafest Zagreb

Iranian movies “The Fourth Wall”, “Haboob” and “Happy Banana” are competing in Animafest Zagreb, an international festival for animated films underway in the Croatian capital of Zagreb.

“The Fourth Wall” by Mahbubeh Kalai is competing in the Grand Competition of the festival, which will come to an end on Saturday. The film is about home and family, relationships, desires, wishes. Everything is summarized in a kitchen. The stuttering boy is alone there, playing with his imagination.

-- Iranian handicrafts evolved to meet more consumer, market needs: minister

Iranian handicrafts have been evolved to meet more customer tastes and to enter new markets, thanks to its immense capacities, and creativity of craftspeople, Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts Minister Ali-Asghar Mounesan has said.

"High capacity of Iranian handicrafts such as ingenuity of its artisans has led to the creation of new beautiful handicrafts by the means of combining various crafts fields, to meet more customer tastes, and to enter new markets," Mounesan said on Thursday. He made the remarks on the occasion of World Handicrafts Day, adding "115 handicrafts fields have been revived across the country over the past couple of years."
