Tehran, June 8, IRNA – The special envoy of the Iranian Foreign Minister in Afghanistan Affairs Mohammad Ebrahim Taherian Fard emphasized here on Tuesday the need for adopting a shared strategy by various Afghan factions in order to achieve progress in the peace process in their country.

Taherian Fard made the comment in a phone conversation with the Afghan President’s Advisor for National Security Affairs Hamdollah Moheb, in which the two sides exchanged viewpoints on recent developments in that country and the new conditions there.

During the phone talk, the Iranian diplomat referred to the recent visit of the special envoy of the UN secretary general on Afghanistan affairs to Tehran, arguing that under the prevailing conditions in that county adopting of shared stands by various Afghan factions plays an important role in progress of the peace process there.

Hamdollah Moheb, too, appreciated the Islamic Republic of Iran’s stands on the peace process in Afghanistan, emphasizing that the Afghan government will not yield to non-peaceful solutions and will resist against the new wave of aggression.
