Gov't spox hopes full revival of the JCPOA before next Iranian gov't

Tehran, June 8, IRNA - Spokesman for the Iranian Government Ali Rabiei on Tuesday expressed hope that full revival of the JCPOA could be declared before the next Iranian government takes office.

Vienna talks will continue on its independent and legal path, within the framework of the system policies and under the guidelines of Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei to reach a favorable outcome, Rabiei told reporters at his weekly press conference in Tehran.

As Rabiei stated that principled agreements on measures to be taken by the sides to return to the implementation of the deal have been reached.

He went on to say that minor differences will be resolved through political will in the capital cities.

Rabiei further expressed hope that a full revival of the JCPOA could be declared before the next Iranian government takes office.

The basis is the nation’s rights and national interests, he added.

*** Vienna talks not to be affected by FATF 

The spokesman for the Iranian government went on to say that talks between Tehran and 4+1 in Vienna, Austria, are not affected at all by FATF.

Rabiei further went on to say that the Islamic Republic of Iran has not withdrawn from any international agreement so far and has not violated its commitments as it is a national consensus and at national levels so long as not all parties abide by their obligations, they can be sure that the Islamic Republic of Iran will not violate its obligations.
