Iran, Denmark stress cooperation on geological sciences

Tehran, June 7, IRNA – Officials from geological agencies of Iran, and Denmark, in a virtual meeting on Monday, underlined the need for bilateral cooperation on geological sciences, high-tech as well as satellite technologies.  

Alireza Shahidi, the head of the Iranian agency and the deputy minister of industry, mine and trade, said that the global climate change has caused Iran problems providing the water needed for drinking and agriculture.

He also referred to drought, flash floods, landslides and dust storms as other problems caused by climate change.

The official expressed hope that the two countries can also cooperate on holding training courses on high-tech and satellite technologies.
