COVID-19 kills 184 more Iranians over past 24 hours

Tehran, May 28, IRNA – The number of deaths from the coronavirus pandemic in Iran increased to 79,568 with 184 more Iranians killed by the deadly disease over the past 24 hours, Iran's Health Ministry announced on Friday.

Some 184 more Iranians have died from the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) over the past 24 hours bringing the total deaths to 79,568, Iran's Health Ministry announced on Friday.

10,253 new cases of infection with the COVID-19 were found over the past 24 hours, 1,532 of whom were hospitalized, it said.

The Iranian Health Ministry noted that 2,410,252 patients out of a total of 2,886,111 infected people have recovered or been discharged from hospitals.

Some 4,383 COVID-19 patients are in critical condition in intensive care units, it added.

The Iranian Health Ministry went on to say that 19,550,558 coronavirus diagnosis tests have so far been carried out across the country.

Health Ministry also announced that 3,138,333 people have so far received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine and 499,040 people have also received the second dose.
