UAE proves to be bowing down to Israel

Tehran, May 25, IRNA – The United Arab Emirates has announced that it would compensate for the damages to Israeli regime in the occupied lands, while Gaza is suffering from the Twelve-Day War attacks.

The 12-day Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip ended in the victory of Palestinian Resistance, while the strip has seen heavy damages to its infrastructure and it needs Islamic countries to help the people in Gaza to recover from the destruction.

Although some Muslim states have promised to help Gaza, the UAE has instead announced that it was ready to compensate for all damages done to the Israeli regime during the Twelve-Day War.

Abu Dhabi crown prince and the de facto ruler of the UAE Mohammad Bin Zayid Al Nihyan expressed sympathy in a telephone call with Zionist regime’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, saying that the Emirates was ready to pay for damages. The proposal was considered among Muslim communities to be a shame on the leaders of the Arab country.

Initial assessments suggest that economic costs the Israeli regime suffered mounted to 12.2 billion dollars. Yedioth Ahronoth cited an official in the Finance Ministry of the regime that the damages include halted economic activities, decrease in production, and significant decline in private consumption.

Still this is not the only appeasement the UAE has shown. The European Institute for International Law and International Relations Mahmoud Rafaat said in a tweet that Mohammad Bin Zayed proposed Netayahu during the 12-day war to send a group of forces to make a ground attack to Gaza.

The UAE normalized ties with the Israeli regime last year in what was called Abraham Accords brokered by the United States. The normalization has led to numerous betrayals by Abu Dhabi towards Palestinians.

The Israeli regime did not use its ground forces in the Twelve-Day War against Gaza, as it was aware of heavy costs of such an aggression. However, the UAE did propose to do so perhaps to prove the depth of surrender against a criminal regime.

During the Twelve-Day War, over 250 defenseless people, mostly women and children, were killed in Gaza.
