Ambassador: Rouhani-Xi talks to accelerate broadening of Tehran-Beijing ties

Tehran, May 24, IRNA – Iran’s Ambassador to China Mohammad Keshavarz Zadeh said on Monday that phone conversation between the Iranian President Hassan Rouhani and his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping will accelerate the trend of broadening Tehran-Beijing ties.

Keshavarz Zadeh wrote in twitter message that "China, in the framework of its comprehensive strategic partnership did not leave Iran alone during the tough period of sanctions and assisted our country noticeably, which will not be ignored during the post-sanctions era."

The two presidents had a phone talk on Monday where they expressed satisfaction over the progress achieved in Vienna talks on sanctions and nuclear issues.

Effective campaign against the corona disease, provision of Iran’s required vaccines, and completion of Iran’s Arak Nuclear Reactor in the framework of the JCPOA were the main topics of the two presidents’ talks.
