In an interview with IRNA, Gholam Nabi Tavakkoli, Imam of Friday Prayer of Taybad city in eastern Razavi Khorasan Province, said that people’s presence in the election would neutralize conspiracies of enemies.
Tavakkoli underlined that public participation in governance and free elections are among the most important achievements of the Islamic Revolution in Iran and every Iranian must recognize voting as a duty.
Being held based on law, ethics and justice can ensure that the election is a healthy one and it should be taken serious by the organizers, the Sunni cleric asserted.
Iran’s 13th presidential election as well as city and village councils elections will be held on June 18 across Iran.
