In the inauguration ceremony, President Rouhani said that his administration has managed to increase Iran’s non-oil exports by 130 million dollars which indicates 59 percent growth compared to the past periods.
He highlighted inauguration of several major projects with huge investments during the coronavirus pandemic and said that the projects launch only today worth over 1.3 billion dollars.
The President also touched on the ongoing talks in Vienna to revive the Iran nuclear deal, saying that if the United States expressed readiness to remove all major sanctions, that’s because of these achievements.
“The current discussions [in Vienna] are on minor issue; major sanctions, including oil, petrochemical products, shipping, insurance and banks, have been agreed upon to be removed,” Rouhani stated.
He underlined that the main work has been done and parties were discussing minor disagreements, but Iran has managed to defeat the coronavirus and sanctions.
The President cited his Oil Minister Bijan Zanganeh saying that if it weren’t for US sanction, the administration would be able to launch projects two times more than those launched today.
