Zionist atrocities not to go unresponded: Iran's judiciary chief

Tehran, May 17, IRNA – Iran’s Judiciary Chief Hojjatoleslam Ebrahim Raeisi on Monday condemned the Zionist brutalities against “the defenseless people of Gaza”, saying such atrocities will not go unanswered.

"The worrying news of the plight of the Palestinian people hurts the heart of every viewer and listener," Raeisi said.

The senior official said that the killing of the women and children, as well as destroying the buildings, especially in the most populated areas, once again proved the inaction of the UN Security Council and other international organizations in the face of the Palestinian issue.

This bitter incident has disappointed the Palestinian people from the so-called human rights organizations more than ever, Raeisi said, adding that the US and other Western countries will never take a step to restore the lost rights of the Palestinians.

The Judiciary chief said that those countries that gave the occupying regime of Israel a virtual legitimacy by seeking to normalize relations with this regime, certainly are accomplices in the killing of innocent Palestinian children and women.
