Iran, Georgia urge bolstering bilateral ties

Tehran, Dec 2, IRNA – Iran's new ambassador to Georgia Akbar Qasemi and Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili on Wednesday called for further boosting of mutual relations.

Qasemi made the remarks when submitting his credentials to the Georgian President.

He hoped that a new chapter would open up in the areas of bilateral cooperation.

The Georgian President, for her part, expressed the hope that the two nations would witness further achievements as a result of constructive cooperation in the coming years.

Earlier, Qasemi had presented a copy of his credentials to the Georgian Foreign Minister.
