Archaeological excavations to be conducted in northwestern Iran

Ardebil, May 27, IRNA - Archaeological excavations in Tappeh Naderi of Aslandouz in Ardebil province is slated to be carried out in the coming days, a local official said on Wednesday.

The site is one of the most important archaeological and historical monuments of the region, he added.

It is estimated that the historic hill is from the 3rd and 4th millennium BC, he further noted.

Owing to its strategic and military significance and location, the place is one of the most important archaeological monuments in the region that is being investigated.
