Bronze Age petroglyphs found NE Iran

Sabzevar, March 17, IRNA – The head of the office of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization in Davarzan, northeastern Iran, told IRNA on Tuesday that the three sets of petroglyphs have been found in the area that belong to Bronze Age to Iron Age.

Mohammad Abdullahzadeh said that the techniques used in making the pictures show that they have been between Bronze and Iron ages.

The pictures show humans, herbivores, carnivores, and scenes of hunting with bows and arrows, he said.
