Former Iranian president, Mohammad Khatami, casts vote for parliamentary elections

Tehran, Feb 21, IRNA – Former Iranian president Mohammad Khatami voted for the parliamentary and Assembly of Experts elections being held nationwide on Friday.

Khatami, who served as Iran's president 1997-2005, proposed Dialogue Among Civilizations to the United Nation about two decades ago.

The 11th parliamentary elections and the mid-term election for the Assembly of Experts began in Iran on Friday morning.

Overall, more than 57 million people from across Iran are eligible to vote.
