Iranian, Iraqi presidents meet in New York

New York, Sept 26, IRNA – Iranian President Hassan Rouhani and his Iraqi counterpart Barham Salih discussed bilateral cooperation and regional security on the sidelines of the 74th Session of the United Nations General Assembly late on Wednesday.

Salih came to Rouhani's residence in New York to seize the opportunity to discuss the two countries' major issues.

Rouhani has so far held bilateral talks with several world leaders on Tuesday to discuss a range of issues, including the 2015 nuclear deal and his peace initiative for the Persian Gulf region.
