FIVB calls for Polish captain's official apology to Iranians

Tehran, June 8, IRNA – The disciplinary committee of the FIVB on Saturday upheld Iran's complaint about Michal Kubiak's slanderous remarks in which he insulted the Iranians.

The FIVB disciplinary committee imposed a six-match ban on Kubiak in the third and fourth weeks of the 2019 Volleyball Nations League.

Kubiak had said that a nation called Iranians or Persians does not exist though Poland has to play with them sometimes. He called Iranians "fatal, malicious and damned people".

The FIVB called for a written apology to be read in the stadium right before Iran-Poland match.
