Iran's Supreme Leader addressing nation on Imam Khomeini's demise anniversary

Tehran, June 4, IRNA – Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei is addressing a large crowd of people on the demise anniversary of Imam Khomeini.

The ceremony is underway today (June 4) at the mausoleum of the Islamic Revolution leader, Imam Khomeini, on the 30th anniversary of his death in southern Tehran.

Imam Khomeini, who steered the popular uprising in Iran culminating in the fall of former regime of Shah, passed away on June 3, 1989.

He is known as one of the most influential leaders who inspired many other revolutions all across the world.
