Kremlin rejects talks over S-400 sale to Iran

Moscow, May 31, IRNA - Kremlin Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov reacted to US media Bloomberg’s claims and rejected holding any talks with Iran to sell S-400 missile system.

Speaking to reporters, Peskov called for being aware of releasing such news and advised the media people to follow up the issue from its source.

Earlier, Bloomberg claimed that Iran demanded S-400 from Russia and Russia had denied to sell.

Meanwhile earlier, Iran ambassador to Russia Mehdi Sanaei said that Tehran has no plan for buying S-400 missile system.

The S-400 Triumf, previously known as the S-300 PMU-3, is an anti-aircraft weapon system developed in the 1990s by Russia's Almaz Central Design Bureau as an upgrade of the S-300 family. It has been in service with the Russian Armed Forces since 2007

Iran is equipped with S-300 missile system which is being used by Russian army as well.
