“Deal of the Century” will fail like "Oslo Accords": Palestinian ambassador

Tehran, May 31, IRNA – Palestinian Ambassador to Tehran Salah Al-Zawawi said on Friday that as 1993 Oslo Accords between Palestine and Zionist regime failed to become operational, the “Deal of the Century” will experience the same fate.

Speaking to IRNA political correspondent on Friday on the occasion of Quds International Day, he said that designation and marking the annual last Friday of the fasting holy month of Ramadan as International Quds Day by the late Imam Khomeini in fact was indicative of vigilance and prudence of that brilliant leader.

“Quds Day rallies do not allow the Palestinian issue to become forgotten in time so that the scream of innocence deafens the ear of the world each year,” Zawawi said.

Each year on this day, the Zionist enemy trembles with fear and reminds that the Iranian people and the Islamic Ummah – across India to America – will not surrender to oppression and will continue their strive until Palestine to achieve its independence and safeguard its territorial integrity, the ambassador added.

“Even if we accept Mr. Trump’s 'Deal of the Century' and ignore our old rights, I am quite confident that they will not even fulfill this cruel plan.”
