'Quds' Muslims' password to resistance: Iran's president

Tehran, May 29, IRNA – Iran's President Hassan Rouhani said that 'Palestine' and 'Quds' are passwords for Muslims to resistance and 'Israel' is the password for all aggressors in the world who aim to oppress Muslims.

Speaking at a cabinet meeting, the Iranian president described Palestinian and Yemeni people as resistant nations that are not scared of the aggressors and will force the enemies to retreat.

"Once having only stones to defend themselves, the Palestinians have now access to means thanks to their efforts, sacrifice, and local industry, that has enabled them to give a crushing response to the Israelis," he said.

"Today, missiles are replied by missiles," the president said on the eve of the International Quds Day.

The last Friday of holy month of Ramadan was designated as the International Quds Day in 1979 by the founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran late Imam Khomeini for all Muslims in the world to express their support for and solidarity with Palestinian people.

The message of the International Quds Day is so important saying that the oppressed people will never be forgotten and abandoned in fighting against the oppressors, President Rouhani said.

Quds is a holy land for followers of all religions, including Muslims, Christians and Jews, and they have coexisted in the past ages in Palestine territories, he noted.

The enemies of Palestine and Quds tried over the past year to raid the holy city and recognize it as the capital of aggressors, President Rouhani said referring to the recognition of the city as capital of the Zionist regime by some states, including the US.

The deal of century is the hot topic of the day which is practically the bankruptcy of the sponsors, Rouhani said adding that "The conspiracy, today, is not only against the Palestinian nation, rather the entire region is targeted."
