Trump unable to sent "a clear-cut message"

Tehran, May 28, IRNA – Even US President Donald Trump himself cannot send a simple message, said Hesamodin Ashna, an advisor to President Hassan Rouhani in a tweet.

"The problem with the US in the negotiations for Iran nuclear deal was that the US Congress and Trump Administration couldn’t send a unified message about the method of interaction with Iran," wrote Ashna, referring to the contradictory remarks made by the US president about Iran.

He said that after the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) was signed, the problem was that even the US government didn’t have a unified voice.

"Now, the problem is that even the US president himself cannot send a clear message."

In a meeting with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, Donald Trump said, "I really believe that Iran would like to make a deal. I think that's very smart of them and I think there's a possibility for that to happen also.”

He also claimed that Iran is retreating from the region since it has a lot of economic problems.
