Kermanshah, KRG universities to maintain cooperation

Kermanshah, May 18, IRNA – Chancellor of Kermanshah University said that the university has so far signed MoU with four universities of the Iraqi Kurdistan Region (KRG).

Speaking in a meeting with reporters, Ali Akbar Akhtari said negotiations with KRG universities have been started by short-term courses and joint conferences and engineering and research fields since last year.

He added that Kermanshah University is not a rival for KRG, but it aims to maintain scientific synergy with the Iraqi Kurdish universities.

Akhtari went on to say that cooperation has been established with universities of Sulaymaniyah and Erbil in technical and engineering fields.

Referring to US cruel sanctions against Iran, Akhtari said border universities like that of Kermanshah will be able to bring foreign exchange revenues through exchange of scientific cooperation.
