Iran, Czech universities start cooperation

Tehran, May 15, IRNA – Iran's Sharif University of Technology and Czech UJEP University started their first round of cooperation.

Both sides are supposed to maintain cooperation in joint research and exchange of students and professors.

Iranian and Czech universities are also supposed to sign MoU in the near future.

University of Jan Evangelista in Ústí nad Labem (UJEP) is a public university in the Czech Republic.

The institution was established on 28 September, 1991. It bears the name of famous Czech scientist Jan Evangelista Purkyně who was born in nearby Libochovice. More than 10,000 students are studying at the university.

Sharif University of Technology is a public research university in Tehran, Iran and is widely considered to be the nation's leading institution for engineering and physical science disciplines, as it is known to be the 'Iranian MIT'. The international campus of the university is located in Kish Island, Persian Gulf.
