Tehran, New Delhi urge finalizing judicial cooperation accord

Tehran, May 15, IRNA – Iran and India called for finalizing the agreement on judicial cooperation and support trade ties.

According to Iranian Foreign Ministry, the 11th joint consular meeting of Iran and India was held on Tuesday in New Delhi, India.

During the meeting, both sides discussed issues of mutual interest and expressed pleasure with basic achievements made by two countries judicial cooperation such as prisoner swap and extradition of criminals.

Iranian and Indian officials stressed preparatory works to waiver visa for holders of service and official passports, taking advantage of capacities for issuing electronic and airport visa aiming to facilitate trade and people-to-people relations.

Both sides also emphasized exchanging views on police cooperation in fighting narcotics, terrorism and organized crimes and on solving the problems the students have faced.
