Trevor Noah, the well-known standup comdedian who runs the Daily Show program, used the claims by John Bolton, US National Security Adviser, who said that Iran should review its decision to attack the US interests, to remind his audience on the recurrence of unfounded allegations about the countries in the region.
US officials said they had credible intelligence on Iraq's weapons of mass destruction before the invasion against the country in 2003; a claim that years later proved to be wrong.
'America has intelligence that Iran poses a very credible threat and so they are going to act on it,' he quoted US officials, adding sarcastically, 'As we know, American intelligence has never led them into the wrong wars in the region.'
Referring to the numerous military bases the US has built in various places in the Middle East, Trevora Noah said that Iran's each and every move will be threatening the US interests as 'every direction is in America's direction'.
