IRNA condemns Israeli attack on Turkish press office in Gaza

Tehran, May 6, IRNA – Head of Iran's official news agency condemned destruction of Turkish news agency's office in a series of indiscriminate bombardment of residential areas in Gaza which killed a dozen civilians in the city.

Reports coming in from Gaza say Israeli leaders caused many civilian casualties in Gaza in a new spate of disproportionate bombardment.
Israeli warplanes destroyed Anadolu's office building by five rockets.

Zia Hashemi, IRNA Managing-Director in a message to his Turkish counterpart said, 'The Zionist regime in its latest move for gagging media that are trying to reveal the warcrimes committed by the Israeli regime in disproportionate attacks, destroyed the building of Turkey's news agency, Anadolu.'

'The attack, certainly, will not prevent the media, such as Anadolu, from fulfilling their humanitarian and professional responsibility.'

Zia Hashemi also expressed solidarity with Anadolu staff on behalf of Iranian journalists in IRNA.

The disproportionate attacks on Gaza in reaction to mortar attacks have claimed the lives of 24 and injured at least 154 Palestinians.
Disproportionate reciprocity constitutes crimes against humanity and warcrimes for which the Israeli leaders are responsible according to International Law.
In retaliatory measures by Palestinian resistance groups, at least 4 Israelis were killed.
