Turkey slams Israel attack on Anadolou Agency’s office

Tehran, May 6, IRNA - Chairman of the Board of the Turkish media 'Anadolou Agency' Şenol Kazanci in a statement denounced the air attack on the agency's office in Gaza Strip.

'We strongly condemn Israel’s attack to Anadolou Agency Gaza Office,' the statement reads.

It added: 'We call on national and international press organizations to react and take action regarding this violation of both human rights and press freedom.'

Israeli leaders unleashed new waves of bombardment of Gaza over the past three days in reaction to what they said the mortar attacks by the Palestinian resistance movement.
Benjamin Netanyahu admitted that Israeli warplanes inflicted heavy casualties on the civilian targets to take revenge on the mortar attacks.
Israeli leaders have perpetrated numerous warcrimes in Gaza over the past three days by indiscriminate bombardment of Gaza in which the civilians are being killed.
Reporters say that Israeli bombardment of Gaza killed dozens of innocent civilians which constitute crimes against humanity and that Israeli leaders exceeded boundaries of proportionality in reacting to mortar attacks.

According to Anadolou statement, 'Israeli warplanes hit the building with at least 5 rockets after warning shots.'

Earlier, Presidential Communications Director Fahrettin Altun said in a message: 'We condemn Israel in the strongest possible terms for targeting a building in the Gaza, in which the @anadoluagency office was located.'

He added: 'We urge all governments that claim to defend press freedom, including @USEmbassyTurkey, to join us in condemning the Israeli government.'
