Iran ready for forensic cooperation with Turkey

Tehran, May 5, IRNA - Iran's Legal Medicine Organization said it is ready to engage in forensic cooperation with Turkey.

“Iran’s Legal Medicine has achieved considerable advances in specialized fields and is ready to cooperate with Turkish Legal Medicine in different specialized and educational sectors,' Ahmad Shojai, head of Iran's Legal Medicine Organization said in a meeting with Turkish Ambassador to Iran Derya Ors on Sunday.

The official added that his organization has created a genetic information bank that has helped identifying delinquents with long criminal backgrounds.

Shojai stressed that Iranian and Turkish Legal Medicine Organizations have had great cooperation in identifying bodies of following the crash of a Bombardier Challenger 604 private jet owned by Turkish group Başaran last year.

Turkish envoy said legal medicine in his country has a long history with huge achievements, saying the two countries can cooperate in this regard.
