New Tajik envoy submits copy of credentials to Iran FM

Tehran, May 4, IRNA – Newly-appointed Ambassador of Tajikistan to Tehran Nezamodin Shamseddinzade Zahedi presented a copy of his credentials to Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif.

Former Tajik ambassador to Iran Ramazan Imamali bid farewell to Iranian Foreign Minister at the end of their diplomatic his mission in Tehran last year.

Meanwhile earlier, Iran's new Ambassador to Tajikistan Mohammad Taqi Saberi had submitted his credentials to Tajik President Emomali Rahmon on March 15. The meeting was held with the attendance of eight other foreign ambassadors in Tajikistan.

President Rahmon had underlined at the time that the cultural, linguistic and historical commonalities between two countries, and said Dushanbe is ready to promote relations with Iran in political, economic and cultural fields.
