Iranian artists hold 1st exhibition in Georgia

Baku, May 3, IRNA – The first group exhibition of paintings by Iranian artitsts residing in Georgia was inaugurated at Iranian office of cultural attache in Tbilisi, IRNA reported on Friday.

The language of art is the shared language of all humans for communicating their feelings and perceptions with each other, Hamid Mostafavi, Iran's cultural attaché at the embassy, said in the opening ceremony of the painting exhibition.

The arts exhibit helps the two nations to communicate with each other in light of opportunities available to share experiences among the artists, he said.

The exhibition will introduce Iranian arts and artists to the Georgian people, Mostafavi said adding that it also sets the stage for further interaction between Iranian artists and their Georgian counterparts.

He also called for organizing a joint painting exhibition in the near future.

At the exhibition that will run until May 5, a total number of 50 painting works of Iranian artists are displayed.
