Austria hails promoting ties with Isfahan

Isfahan, April 30, IRNA - Chairman of Iran-Austria parliamentary friendship group Wolfgang Gerstl said Austria welcomes developing relations with Isfahan, especially in economic, tourism, scientific and cultural fields.

Speaking in a meeting with Isfahan Governor Abbas Rezaei, Gerstl referred to attractive handicrafts of Isfahan, saying the province enjoys high capacity for trade.

He added that Isfahan has always been famous for peaceful coexistence of all religions.

Referring to Vienna as the center for international interactions, Gerstl said the city has hosted Iran and other countries for nuclear talks.

He urged making efforts to bring two nations closer as regard cultural, educational and health sectors.

Gerstl went on to say that Iranian doctors play major role in Austria health system and on the other hand Austria have made many efforts in engineering and construction fields.

Elsewhere in his remarks, Gerstl pointed to the MoU signed between Salzburg and Isfahan and called for developing cooperation in various fields, namely tourism.

Meanwhile, Rezaei said cultural and economic relations between Iranians and Austrians will result in reinforcing humanitarian relations and philanthropy.

He called for developing relations in cultural, economic and tourism fields.

Gerstl also suggested Austrian envoy to Tehran Stefan Scholz and Austria commercial attaché to hold meeting with members of Isfahan chamber of commerce.
