An Iraqi official says the Siran Band-Baneh crossing that straddles Iraqi Kurdistan Region and Iran’s Kurdistan Province will be the new official border crossing between Iran and Iraq, increasing the number of official crossings in Iraqi Kurdistan Region to four.
The new crossing will be used for both passengers as well as shipping goods to and from Iraq.
