Iran to host 1st Intl. Conference on Peace Studies

Kish, Feb 28, IRNA – The First International Conference on Peace Studies will be held in the Iranian southern Kish Island on Friday with attendance of 280 scholars from Iran and other countries.

Secretary of the conference and Head of the International Center for Developing Peace, Culture and Rationality, Abedin Siahat, told reporters on Thursday that 201 articles written by scholars from 22 countries have been sent to the secretariat of the conference, out of which 36 are in English, 18 in Arabic and 146 in Persian.

Siahat said the International Center for the Developing Peace, Culture and Rationality holds the meeting to promote peaceful coexistence, intending to gather together scholars and researcher for having a better explanation of peace and reconciliation.

The meeting is to focus on variety of topics, including Environment and Peace, Family and Peace, IT and Peace, Cyberspace and Peace, International Organizations and Peace, NGOs and Peace, Religion and Peace, Research and Peace, Society and Peace, Elites and Peace, Culture and Peace, War and Peace, Law and Peace, Economics and Peace, Women and Peace, Hygiene and Peace, Children and Peace, States and Peace, Rationality and Peace, Education and Peace, Politics and Peace, History and Peace, Future Studies and Peace, Coexistence and Peace, Ethics and Peace, Computer Games and Peace, Philosophy and Peace, Human dignity and Peace, Animal Rights and Peace, Justice and Peace, Human Rights and Peace, Art and peace and Sport and peace.
