Belgrade, Feb 26, IRNA - Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina underlined Iran's role in fighting terrorism.

Addressing a meeting with Iran ambassador to Sarajevo Mahmoud Heidari , Milorad Dodik said Bosnia supports developing relations in all fields with Iran as a big and historical country.

Referring to Iran's nuclear deal also known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), he said that he has always followed up the course and fate of the deal.

Appreciating Iran's effective role in fighting terrorism, Dodik said Bosnian government knows that the ISIS would have not be defeated if Iran-Russia coalition did not exist in the Middle East.

Elsewhere in his remarks, he praised Iran's balanced approach in maintaining interaction with all Bosnians.

Meanwhile, Heidari said recent developments show that creators and supporters of terrorist groups like ISIS are after extensive changes in the Middle East.

He added 'Iran is the country which inspired other countries in the region and foiled US plots by supporting them.'

Referring to Trump administration's illegal withdrawal from Iran nuclear deal, he said US has imposed cruel sanctions against Iran by adopting approaches against international regulations and UNSC resolution.

During the meeting both sides emphasized the importance of developing ties in economic, political and cultural fields.
