Hungarian Wrestling Federation calls for further cooperation with Iran

Tehran, Feb 24, IRNA - The Deputy Chief of the Hungarian Wrestling Federation called for further bilateral cooperation with the aim of developing free-style wrestling in the country in a meeting on Sunday with the head of the Iranian Wrestling Federation Hamid Bani Tamim.

The joint meeting of the head of the federation, Hamid Bani Tamim, and Peter Baghca, Deputy Chairman of the Hungarian Wrestling Federation, was held with the presence of Iranian Ambassador Gholam Ali Rajabi Yazdi, and the two sides discussed further bilateral cooperation.

At the meeting, discussions were held on further technical cooperation, including the holding of joint camps in the beginner age divisions, and reached good agreements.

'The Hungarian side called for further bilateral cooperation, especially for the growth of free-style wrestling in the country,' said Bani Tamim, head of the federation of wrestling, confirming the news.

The official has traveled to the country at the official invitation of the Hungarian Wrestling Federation concurrent with the Grand Prix competitions.

The Hungarian Grand Prix which is part of the United World Wrestling Ranking System, has started since Saturday and will end on Sunday in the city of Gyor.
