Iran looking for Asian seat in Badminton

Tehran, Feb 23, IRNA - The head of the Badminton Federation says that the views of the Badminton Asia officials changed after Fajr international tournament on Badminton in Iran, and from now on Iran can not only try to achieve a seat in West of the continent, but also to gain an international seat in Asia.

Mohammad Reza Pourya said at the press conference on the 28th Fajr International tournament, that 'The level of the Fajr International Championship was high, so that 22 people attended with rankings below 100 in the world. In the past few years, only 10 countries with no rank came to Iran, but Fajr Cup this year was attended by 29 countries.'

The 28th International Fajr Badminton tournament, commemorating the 40th anniversary of the glorious victory of the Islamic Revolution was held with the presence of 29 foreign countries along with the national badminton players of Iran on February 4-7 with a $ 25,000 award in the city of Karaj.
