Iran wrestlers to attend Hungry Grand Prix

Tehran, Feb 22, IRNA – Iranian Greco-Roman wrestlers are scheduled to attend Hungarian Grand Prix - Polyák Imre Memorial which will be held in Györ, Hungary on February 23-24.

Some 11 Iranian wrestlers will participate in the weight categories of 55, 63, 72, 82, 97, 60, 67, 77, 87 and 130 kg.

Wrestlers from Algeria, Belarus, Chile, China, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland Georgia, Germany, Italy, Moldova, Norway, Romani, Slovakia, Sweden, Ukraine and the US will participate in the event.

Imre Polyák was a featherweight Greco-Roman wrestler from Hungary. He competed in the 1952, 1956, 1960 and 1964 Olympics and won three silver and one gold medal. He won the world title in 1955, 1958 and 1962, and placed second in 1961 and 1963.
