Iranians with all faith on same boat: VP

Tehran, Feb 20, IRNA - Vice President and Head of the Atomic Energy Organization emphasized that all religions in Iran with all their commonalities belong to the same family.

Addressing a meeting with Archbishop of the Armenian Diocese of Tehran Sepuh Sargsyan on Wednesday, Ali Akbar Salehi said, 'All of us in the country, with any religion, belong to Iran and one family, and we share a lot, have many commonalities and we do not need to talk about the differences. We all belong to Iran and a family, regardless of whether we are Christians, Muslims or other religions.'

The Archbishop of Armenians, for his part, said, 'Thanks God, we are alongside the people of Iran and we consider ourselves part of Iran. Unfortunately, the outside world does not understand this, and sometimes they ask us how you live in Iran and we tell them if you are very worried about us, you yourself come here to experience it. We need to maintain this solidarity that is a great treasure.'
