Iran's Intel Minister vows revenge for attack on IRGC

Tehran, Feb 19, IRNA – The criminal act of the terrorists in killing border guards in southeastern Iran will not be left unanswered, Iran's Minister of Intelligence said Tuesday.

Addressing a ceremony of Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) forces that were killed in a terror attack last week, Mahmoud Aalvi said, 'We will definitely plan on the issue, as it is what the people expect.'

On February 13, twenty-eight IRGC border guards on a bus were targeted by a suicide attack in Sistan-Baluchestan Province.

The Iranian minister also emphasized that there was created the synergism needed among the security-related organizations.

'Operations and investigations for a firm response have been underway at the Supreme National Security Council immediately after the terrorist attack,' he said.

The terrorist group of Jaish al-Adl took the responsibility for the attack.
