Iran not to leave enemies' actions unanswered: Top military official

Qom, Feb 18, IRNA – Chief of staff of the Iranian Armed Forces said on Monday that anti-Iran cowardly moves by the enemies will not go unanswered.

Major General Mohammad Baqeri made the remarks at a local gathering held in Qom, west of capital Tehran.

He said those terrorist groups that are undertaking actions against Iran using foreign support and money will not be safe from wrath of the Iranian nation, General Baqeri said.

Commenting on the Feb 12 terrorist attack on the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) personnel in southeastern Iran, the military official said a terrorist grouplet which is being financially equipped by Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and is stationed, organized and trained in Pakistan is currently taking terrorist actions against Iran.

But, the coward terrorists should know that they will be burnt at the fire of Iranian nation’s vengeance, Baqeri said.

A Suicide attack on a bus carrying the Islamic Republic Guards Corps (IRGC) personnel martyred 27 and wounded 13 in southeastern Iran on February 12. A terrorist group so-called Jaish al-Adl, affiliated to Al-Qaida, claimed responsibility for the incident.

Referring to the incident, Baqeri stressed that the Iranian nation has strongly stood against the threats so far and will continue to do so in the future as well.

He added that the Iranian borders are now in full security, and no one dares to make military threat against the country.

“Independence and freedom the Iranian nation enjoys has no example in world.”
