Strategy needed for protecting forces in border regions

Tehran, Feb 17, IRNA - A senior lawmaker stressed the need for formulating a strategy for protecting the forces in this region and coordination at the border between different departments

'The issue of suicide terrorism has become a harassing strategy against Iran in the east; a harassing strategy aimed at harassing a country and creating a mental occupation for the people and politicians of a country; this is very important for us,' the Iranian Parliament's Head of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Heshmatullah Falahatpisheh said while pointing to the commission's session on a recent terrorist incident in Zahedan.

The chairman of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission highlighted that 'we believe that a strategy for protecting forces in this area must be formed, it is important to protect the forces that serve under such situation and are subject to suicide attacks.

'The necessary coordination is needed on the border between different intelligence and security; if parts of the region are declared as insecure or red lines, there will certainly be more protecting measures in those areas,' he added.
