Pak delegation due in Iran to discuss terrorist attack

Tehran, Feb 17, IRNA – Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said an expert Pakistani delegation will travel to Iran to review the recent terror attack in southeastern Iran.

Qureshi made the remarks Sunday in a phone conversation with Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif.

He slammed the terrorist attack and sympathized with the victims of the deadly incident.

Pakistan is ready to maintain any cooperation for reviewing this regretful incident and for conducting joint confrontation against terrorist groups.

This is while, Iranian Foreign Ministry summoned Pakistan ambassador to Iran Riffat Masood on Sunday over the recent terrorist attack in Zahedan.

Iran expects Pak government and army to confront seriously against bases and movements of the terrorist groups active in its common borders with Iran, Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qasemi said.

A Suicide attack on a bus carrying the Islamic Republic Guards Corps (IRGC) personnel martyred 27 and wounded 13 in southeastern Iran on February 12. A terrorist group so-called Jaish al-Adl, affiliated to Al-Qaida, claimed responsibility for the incident.
