Swaraj made the remarks talking to Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi during a short stop in Tehran on her way to Europe.
The two sides discussed issues of bilateral importance as well as regional issues.
They condemned two recent terrorist incidents in Iranian southeastern province of Sistan Baluchestan and India’s Srinagar, urging the need to ensure peace and tranquility in the region through dialogue.
