Warsaw Summit failed against Iran, resistance front: Iraqi MP

Baghdad, Feb 16, IRNA - A representative of the Iraqi parliament believes that the Warsaw Summit failed in its attempt to take action against the Islamic Republic of Iran and the resistance front.

Iraqi parliamentarian Mohamed al-Baldawi of Construction Fraction said that the failure of the participants at the Warsaw Summit to reach a common understanding, points to their inability to create an anti-Iranian and anti-resistance front.

He said such a failure would strengthen the Iraqi approach for expelling the US forces from the country.

The Iraqi MP went on to say that the Warsaw Summit showed that, contrary to US and Israeli propaganda, there was reluctance among other countries to form an anti-Iranian front.

He said that the United States has begun to engage openly in the internal affairs of the region, and Iraq must continue to pursue its policy of not joining regional fronts and increasing the emphasis on the withdrawal of American troops from its territory.

Al-Badawi highlighted, “Iraq's lack of participation at the Warsaw summit reflects Iraq's independence and emphasis on the lack of entry into the politics of alignment with different fronts, and is a success for Baghdad.'
