Imam Sadr sister meets Pope

Tehran, Feb 15, IRNA – Imam Moussa Sadr's sister, Rabab Sadr, met Pope Francis in Vatican on Friday, according to Lebanese VDLnews website.

The website wrote that Rabab Sadr had in the meeting presented a letter to leader of the Roman Catholic church and asked him to look into the case of Imam Moussa Sadr disappearance.

The website wrote that Pope usually receives presidents of countries, prime ministers, foreign ministers, and ambassadors while submitting their credentials as well as at a time their mission ends.

Rabab Sadr, daughter of Seyed Sadreddin Sadr and sister of Seyed Moussa Sadr was born in Qum, Iran, in 1944. Raed Sharafeddin, Malihe Sadr and Najad Sharafeddin are said to accompany her in the visit.

Imam Moussa Sadr, born in 1928, is a well-known Iranian-Lebanese clergy founding the Supreme Islamic Shi'a Council of Lebanon.
