Senior Iraqi cleric condemns terrorist attack in SE Iran

Baghdad, Feb 14, IRNA - Head of Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq Sheikh Humam Hamoudi in a statement on Thursday strongly condemned the terrorist attack in Iran's southeastern Province of Sistan-Baluchestan that claimed 27 lives and left 13 more wounded.

In the statement, Sheikh Hamoudi strongly condemned the terrorist attack and expressed condolences to the bereaved families of the victims and sympathized with those suffered injuries.

Those who have created terrorists or financially support them should bear in minds that the phenomenon one day will backfire as these terrorist groups never recognize any religion or commitment and one day will bite their promoters, he said.

The Iranian people will persist through such a challenge and address it with success, he said.

He also called the Islamic countries and international community to prevent export of terrorists and condemn this phenomenon.

Public Relations Department of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) Quds Headquarters in a statement late on Wednesday said 27 were killed and 13 more wounded in the Khash-Zahedan road terrorist attack.
