Tehran condemns terrorist incident in India's Srinagar

Tehran, Feb 14, IRNA – Iran Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Qasemi has condemned terrorist incident in India's Srinagar the largest city and the summer capital of the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir.

The terrorist incident in Srinagar which left killed or injured scores of people, is strongly condemned, said Qasemi, condoling Indian government and people on the bitter event.

He sympathized with the families of the victims.

'As a country, which has itself been the victim of terrorism and has taken many, extensive and effective efforts and measures to confront and eradicate terrorist groups in the west of Asia, and a nation that has endured hefty costs while it is determined to continue its path with firm will and determination, Iran considers as 'unbelievable' application of bloody and inhuman methods by any group with any motivation and goal and under any title and name.'

Indian media reported on Thursday that a bomb explosion on the way of a caravan of security forces of India killed 18 Indian military-security forces and injured 20 others.
