EU issues condolences over deadly terror attack in SE Iran

Tehran, Feb 14, IRNA - The European Union in a statement on Thursday expressed condolences over recent deadly terrorist attack on IRGC forces in Sistan-Baluchestan Province, southeastern Iran.

'At least 27 lives were lost and dozens of people were injured in the terror attack on Iranian armed forces in Sistan-Baluchestan province in Iran on Wednesday. There can be no justification for such an outrageous act of terror. The European Union expresses its condolences to the families of the victims and to the people of Iran; we wish a speedy recovery to those injured,' the statement reads.

Public Relations Department of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) Quds Headquarters in a statement late on Wednesday said 27 were killed and 13 wounded in the Khash-Zahedan road terror attack.

The statement added the bus carrying IRGC border guards, who were on their way home after the end of a mission, was targeted by a suicide bomber.
